Hutchins Vacation 2017

This week we joined the OTHER Hutchins family for a few days in Branson! Here are some photos from our fantastic trip!

They asked SEVERAL times if we were there yet! :0) Thankfully the DVD screen worked the entire way there! We weren't so lucky on the way back!

On the way there, we stopped at Lambert's Cafe, home of the throwed rolls! Jesstine wanted me to send this picture to her BFF. The Kansas License Tag says, Pikachu!

My boys!

Jesstine and her cousin Connor went just about everywhere together at the pool!

Emmitt was so excited for this trip! He wanted to pack his clothing all by himself so a week before we left, he packed a Cars suitcase full of nothing but pajamas! I told him I would pack his suitcase and that he could pick one pair. This is what he chose. He said, "Now I don't have to bring a bedtime story! I can just ready my pajamas!"

The next morning we ate breakfast in our room then off to Silver Dollar City!

At the park!

The OTHER Hutchins family with us!

The OTHER Hutchins Family!

First stop, the BIG coasters!

Then on to one of Stephen and I's favorites as kids, Fire in the Hole! Both Emmitt and Jesstine were scared on this one! Jesstine ended the day saying it was her favorite!

Then it was off to the "kid" section! This was a foam ball house where you could throw and shoot foam balls!

Then Connor took Emmitt on what would become his favorite ride! Lucky the Firehouse dog!

Connor!

This was a kiddie ride, but Jesstine was beyond freaked out so she was a little more frightened of this than she really should have been!

We found some convicts!

The flooded mines was turned into a "shoot the target with the infrared gun" ride.

We took the train ride after lunch!

Same script all these years later!

I got the privilege of watching Emmitt watch the others go on a ride! Jenny was right, that is the BEST form of entertainment. Here he is watching the others go on The Great American Plunge. We of course had to watch the 50 some riders in front of them first. So, he got soaked in the process, but he loved it!

Here are the others taking the plunge!

After we took the plunge, the Other Hutchins Family went back to the resort and left us there to play! We went to the Harlem Globetrotters show!

We let both of the kids choose something to take home as a momento. Emmitt chose a Harlem Globetrotters headband. He put it on and had to show us his basketball moves!

All told, we took a LOT of steps!

The next day, we got up and ate breakfast with the family, then we hit the road for home! We had to make a stop outside of Springfield to see some friends who moved there a couple of years ago.

On the road again.

Our friends have 8 acres of land in the Ozarks!! It was BEAUTIFUL! Full of wildlife! They cleared some trails through the woods behind their house. There are a few creeks that run through there also! While they were playing in the creek, we saw this little guy! He stayed SO still until he heard the other three join this little girl! :-) Then he took off!

This is my friend Cassey! She used to live here and go to church with us! I watched both of her kiddos when they were toddlers!

They aren't toddlers anymore! Emalyn (left) just turned 5 and Shylee (Right) is about to turn 7.

The kids didn't remember each other, but they got along GREAT!!

These two were double trouble!

Here they are giving each other hugs!

We stopped at Steak and Shake on the way home!

Blueberry (Emmitt's dino) had to wear the Harlem Globetrotters headband! :-)

We made it home in one piece and had a great time!

In Him,
The Hutchins Family
